The Great Canadian Story Exchange What happens when strangers stop walking past each other and start sharing their stories? Something extraordinary. Created by award-winning theatre artist and storyteller Tracey Erin Smith, **The Great Canadian Story Exchange** is a joyful, moving, and sometimes hilarious experiment in human connection. It's a simple idea with a powerful impact: bring strangers together, invite them to share a piece of their lives, and discover what happens when we truly listen to one another. Through playful storytelling prompts and one-on-one exchanges, people who might never otherwise meet find themselves laughing, connecting, discovering common ground, and seeing each other in a whole new light. Because behind every face is a fascinating story waiting to be heard. This three-minute documentary by filmmaker Sam Eisner captures the magic of The Great Canadian Story Exchange at the 2026 Creemore Arts Festival in Ontario. Everyone has a story. And hearing it just might change you. The Great Canadian Story Exchange can be brought to festivals, schools, universities, workplaces, towns, and communities across Canada.
