Tracey Erin Smith ◊ Artistic Director
Tracey Erin Smith Smith is the founder of SOULO Theatre and the Artistic Director of Toronto’s SOULO Theatre Festival in Canada and the Co-Founder of the Totnes Solo Theatre Festival in the UK. She has performed her hit one-woman shows; The Burning Bush, Two in the Bush and snug harbor in Toronto, New York City, Vancouver, Edmonton and Halifax. The plays were Critic’s Pick in BackStage Magazine NYC, ‘Best of the Toronto Fringe Festival’ and have twice won the ‘Audience Choice Award’ in New York City’s Frigid Festival. She was a guest instructor for Israel’s Dream Doctors in Tel Aviv and an invited delegate to Canadian Stage’s Artist Educators Program in Toronto. Her story was featured on CBC Radio’s The Current in a documentary called; “Left Behind”. directing Caryl Churchill’s Three More Sleepless Nights as part of The Playwright Project 2014.

Debra Bennett helps creative people make money. She’s widened and deepened revenue streams for CBC, TVO, TIFF and many others through marketing, sales, sponsorship and intelligent business planning. Debra is a graduate of Soulo Theatre where she performed her short one-woman show – How I Quit Smoking and Learned Kaddish.

Terrence Bryant ◊ Associate Producer
Terrence Bryant is an award-winning actor. His recent credits include: Terre Haute (winner of the Spotlight Award for Outstanding Performance Summerworks 2012), Soulo (2102 Fringe Festival), The Dining Room (Campbell House Museum), The Refugee Hotel (Almeda Theatre Company), My Fellow Creatures (Theatre Passe Muraille). Film and TV credits include: Crash and Burn, This is Wonderland, Degrassi: The Next Generation, Warehouse 13, Murdock Mysteries, Covert Affairs, and Cracked.

Joanne Latimer ◊ Associate Artistic Director
Joanne is a Toronto area actor, writer, director and teacher. She has just returned from teaching theatre students in Las Cruces, New Mexico, where it is still much warmer than Toronto. Joanne will be appearing in 4th Line Theatre’s premiere production of Wounded Soldiers in August and is currently creating her own solo show for production in the fall.

An actor, writer, comedian and sometimes techie who studied and the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton. Some of the things he gets up to includes performing in his sketch troupe “Interrobang”, running the YouTube channel “Kicks and Giggles Film“, and being the technical director of the Soulo Theatre Classes and this Festival.
Franny McCabe-Bennett ◊ Box Office & Front of House Manager
Franny McCabe-Bennett is an actor, singer, writer and arts administrator. Her theatre company Two Juliets (www.twojuliets.com) will be performing “XOXO”, an original comedy cabaret, in Stratford, Hamilton and Toronto this summer. Franny has been working box office and front of house positions across Toronto for the past 4 years. She is delighted to return as the SOULO Theatre Festival’s Box Office & Front of House Manager.

James Alan ◊ General Manager
James Alan is a magician… literally. In addition to performing, he hosts and produces a weekly magic variety program with Abracadabaret in Toronto. In 2012 he produced his own one man show, Lies, Damn Lies & Magic Tricks, which was featured at the Hamilton Fringe Festival and Summerworks and is currently working on a new show, The Uncertainty Project be released later this year. He has worked extensively with Magicana, an organization dedicated to advancing magic as a performance art, in delivering their community outreach programs My Magic Hands and Senior Sorcery for the young and young at heart respectively.
